Wow! That is great. How many of us forget to ask for what we want and only assume that we have asked because we assume what we need is understood.

I loved this talk but it left me up in the air. What happened to her after she started to ask again. Can we hear the rest of her story?

I went to the TOFW 2011 and heard this talk by Laurel, and it was so good. I also have a copy of the 2011-TOFW tour. I purchased it at the Salt Lake conference because it was the end of the year. It too was amazing. I love TOFW

Sometimes, I feel like I'm getting bread, but that it's sour dough. Thanks for the reminder to ask instead of just assuming Father knows. Of course, he knows, but like the BD says, some blessings are predicated on our asking. Now, gotta go ask! :)

It's a wonderful thought to ask for bread and get bread...but I also love the idea that it IS a silly question as are those that follow--ask for a fish get a serpent--ask for an egg, get a scorpion ...that as parents--a heavenly parent--we would try REALLY hard not to give kids (us) ANYTHING that would be dangerous or horrible for them. I think the point is that Heavenly Father gives us EXACTLY what we need. He isn't the God who gives us Rocks, Snakes, or Poisonous spiders instead of things like Bread, Fish, and eggs--that would nourish us. This life IS about the experience of recognizing those things. I love TOFW tons!

I have a question. Laurel spoke in Orlando at TOFW. AMAZING!!! She made a statement about Joseph Smith when he went to the grove to pray and the first question he asked was for his sins to be forgiven him. He said his soul was full of joy and he rejoiced for many days. Where do I find this resource? Any help!!
